Trends: Annual Agent Survey

At Delta Dental of Wisconsin, we are constantly working to provide our agents, employers, and subscribers with outstanding service and support, so the limited time spent on dental benefits is easy and stress-free. To help us achieve our goal, we began conducting an annual survey of agents throughout the state to find out how we stack up against our competition and how we can make agents’ experience with us even better.
Our annual survey, now in its fifth year, asks agents to rate us and 14 of our competitors on 16 different attributes, ranging from how well we provide customer service to brand reputation to claim-payment accuracy. Agents consider these attributes when deciding where to place dental business and rate each carrier’s performance on these attributes.
Agents named customer service, claim-payment accuracy, rate stability, network strength, pricing, and ease of doing business for employers as the most important attributes to them. These attributes have consistently been most important to agents, and here at Delta Dental, we are focused on performing at a high level on each of these.
This year’s survey results are very comparable to past years. We continue to be the overwhelming carrier of choice for agents and ranked as the leader for nearly all the attributes determined to be most important by agents (15 of the 16, in fact).
Although performing at a high level is great, we are constantly striving to improve and make it even easier to do business with Delta Dental. When our agents identify something we could do to make their jobs easier, we listen. Our continued focus and dedication to improvement is highlighted by the fact that on nearly half of our key attributes, agents rated us even higher this year than they did last year.
We believe that this commitment to service is just one of the things that sets Delta Dental apart and helps maintain our place as Wisconsin’s number one dental plan.
