Trends: Delta Dental 2015 Agent Survey

Customer focus is one of the pillars upon which we built the success of Delta Dental of Wisconsin. This involves fostering meaningful relationships with agents, employers, customers, and dental offices. And, from time to time, we ask our stakeholders to give us feedback about our relationship with them and how we can make it stronger. With this rationale, agents were invited to participate in our annual survey now in its sixth year.
One section of the survey asks respondents to rate us alongside other players in the market on a set of 16 different brand attributes ranging from how well we provide customer service, to network strength, to claim-payment accuracy. These attributes, to varying degrees, are taken into consideration by agents before deciding where to place dental business. And the feedback received from agents continues to positively set us apart from our competitors, year after year.
Agents named customer service, rate stability, network strength, pricing, service by and relationship with carrier’s representative, and ease of doing business for employers as the most important attributes to them. On average, Delta Dental of Wisconsin’s attribute index scored thirteen percent ahead of all competition. We continue to be the carrier of choice for agents and ranked as the leader for nearly all (15 of the 16) attributes.
Delta Dental’s brand reputation is the most highly rated characteristic among all attributes and against all competition. Delta Dental was once again rated the number-one carrier of choice by respondents in 2015, and no other competitor came close to matching our score.
