Implant coverage is now a part of new dental plans

Effective January 1, 2008, implants will be covered in new non-pooled group contracts and proposals offered by Delta Dental of Wisconsin. Implants will be included in the prosthetic coverage level, along with fixed bridges, removable partial and complete dentures. If an existing group or a new customer wishes to exclude implants from prosthetic coverage, we can process their claims accordingly. There is no rate adjustment when implants are added to the prosthetic coverage level, subject to the annual maximum benefit.

Information for current nonpooled groups

Current nonpooled groups will be offered the option of removing the implant exclusion from their dental contracts at the time of renewal, beginning with January 1, 2008 renewals.
This expansion of prosthetic coverage to include implants will not be automatic - groups must request it.
There is no cost impact to groups when they include implants as part of prosthetic coverage.
