Project Manager
The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute and deliver projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
Responsibilities include:
- Define and manage project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management and stakeholders
- Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
- Where required, negotiate with the resource manager for the acquisition of required personnel
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
- Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results and troubleshoot problem areas
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans
- Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
- Conduct project lessons learned and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
- Provide support to end-users on use of the Project Portal
- Special projects as assigned
Qualified candidates for this position will have:
- Associate’s degree in Business or related field and 5 years project management experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

This position is responsible for the entry and maintenance of enrollment and billing functions.
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for premium entry, daily maintenance, generating invoices and corresponding late notices, new business enrollment, group transfers, terminations, e-claims and routes
- Responsible for assisting with the quality assurance function for the team and maintaining production standards within the quality assurance guidelines
- Respond to inquiries relating to enrollment and billing issues. Customer service may be provided by telephone, web, email or other type of communication
- Participate in team meetings
- Audit cash receipts versus enrollment records
- Test electronic enrollment file and processing
- Assist with special projects and duties as needed

Director, Technology Advancement
The Director, Technology Advancement’s primary responsibility is to create and maintain a technology advancement program. This position will work with the IT leadership team to plan, coordinate, direct, and design infrastructure, web, and system improvement activities of the IT department, as well as provide direction and support for IT solutions that enhance mission-critical business operations. The Director, Technology Advancement will work closely with decision makers in IT and other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.
Responsibilities include:
- Formulate and deploy long-term strategic plans for acquiring and enabling efficient and cost-effective information processing and communication technologies
- Direct the design and development of the technology advancement program and infrastructure
- Staff and assign technology advancement roles and responsibilities
- Meet with decision makers and end users to define business and operations requirements and system goals
- Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed changes to aid management in making implementation decisions
- Project manage major initiatives involving system or infrastructure change
- Where necessary, evaluate system support to ensure it aligns with business processes, tactical planning, and strategic vision
- Review performance of IT systems to determine operating costs, key performance indicators, productivity levels, and upgrade requirements
- Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement of the IT infrastructure and IT systems
- Develop bid requirements for all hardware and software upgrades, reviews submitted bids for compliance with stated requirements, and makes the appropriate award
- Authorize and oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, and support of all hardware based on department needs
- Direct research on potential technology solutions and implementations in support of new initiatives, opportunities, and procurement efforts
- Oversee negotiation and administration of applicable vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements.
- Direct web development team and infrastructure team, including planning and approving human resources recommendations and performance management of staff
- Assist in the development of testing requirements and back out plans for new systems
- Regularly reports on progress, measure and plans of technology advancement program to management, partners and team
- Constant awareness of market trends, strengths, needs, and risks building confidence in advancement direction
- Provide leadership to committees and participate in national initiative for Delta Dental Plans Association
- Special projects and duties as assigned
Qualified candidates for this position will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or business administration with 5 years information technology experience
- Master’s degree in any of these fields with technology as a core component preferred
- Three years’ experience in information technology strategic planning, business analyst/systems analyst role in a complex business and systems environment, as well as project management experience required
- Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through day-to-day operational management
- Knowledge of business processes, management, budgeting, and business office operations
- Understanding of project management principles
- Knowledge of information technology systems, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, applications development, infrastructure requirements, system features and integration capabilities
- Ability to motivate team to produce quality work products within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage multiple projects
- Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to staff

This position is responsible for responding to telephone inquiries from subscribers, dental office staff, agents/brokers and employers, and also provides claims processing services.
Responsibilities include:
- Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from subscribers, dental office staff, agents/broker and employer group representatives via telephone, email, web chat and mail within established performance standards
- Request refunds due and maintain pending file utilizing follow up and collection procedures
- Process adjustments to paid claims
